The Innotech Genesis II Digital Controller is a state of the art digital processing system capable of controlling various types of commercial systems. It is the central unit of the Genesis II System hardware, and can be tailored to specific applications with the Genesis II software and a wide range of Remote Expansion Modules (REMs). This combination of hardware and software can be used to monitor plants and equipment, data logging and analysis, data transfer, and troubleshooting.

The Genesis II Controller can operate as a standalone device, while more complex installations can use multiple controllers sharing data between controllers and a computer. Communication among the Genesis II Controllers is facilitated by a Global Points link bus system, whereas communication with a computer is through a standard RS485 network.

The Genesis II Controller can be configured using the Windows® based Gen2Config software. This graphical configuration utility allows the user to configure the inputs and outputs of the Genesis II Controller by placing various process blocks and interconnecting lines to design the required control algorithm for the controller.

Up to 256 process constants or variables can be accessed using the Human Machine Interface (HMI). Information can be grouped in any combination on the 8 display pages, with the ability to control access to the display pages using a multilevel password system.

The HMI can display a further 32 points or up to 128 Alarms via a flash page. A computer allows access for manipulating and interrogating the controller using tools from the GEN2 family of software products.

The Genesis II Controller is designed for mounting inside a control panel and offers a large array of inputs and outputs to monitor and control all types of external plant and equipment. The Genesis II Controller is ideal for air conditioning and building automation, but yet flexible and powerful enough to suit a wide range of other applications.

The creation of control strategies is made simple with the GEN2Config configuration software. With it's powerful Graphical User Interface (GUI), Gen2Config allows the user to create an entire control strategy in block diagram form.

Alert - A utility that reports on alarms generated by Innotech Digital Controllers. A Genesis II MPI (Modem/Printer Interface) is required to capture the alarms and forward the details via modem to a computer running this utility.
AutoStart - An automatic program launching utility specifically designed for use with GenIIXtract and MAXTract software. It allows any number of Windows batch programs to be automatically started at regular time intervals.
EasyBill - An automatic charging utility program for use with Innotechs Direct Digital Controller. Using EasyBill in conjunction with Genesis II Controllers, a plant administrator is able to analyse plant usage and automatically calculate charges for that usage.
EtherMate - Specialised configuration tool for Ethernet enabled Innotech devices. It provides the functionality to set the RS485 baud rate, serial format and TCP/IP settings.
Gen2Config - Configuration tool for Innotechs Direct Digital Controller, the Genesis II. It allows you to internally configure a Genesis II Digital Controller by using a simple point-and-click approach on a PC running Windows.
Gen2Mon - A monitoring and debugging utility designed to help with commissioning and trouble-shooting a Genesis II Digital Controller.
Gen2Sim - A Windows-based software program that simulates an Innotech Direct Digital Controller. The Virtual Genesis II Controller can be powered on, configured and interrogated in the same way as a physical DDC.
Gen2XTract - Gen2Xtract is the data log extraction utility for Innotech’s Direct Digital Controller, the Genesis II. It allows extraction of all or part of the history log data residing on a Genesis controller into a specified data format.
iComm- Communications server used by Innotech software to communicate with Innotech digital controllers.
Innograph - Designed to specifically cater for the data log graphing capabilities of Innotech controllers, and it has the flexibility to display data log graphing information from other sources.
Magellan - Event-driven, object oriented real-time Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition package. It provides a simple, mechanism to design trivial or sophisticated supervisory or control programs.
NetScan - A network scanning utility designed to help with commissioning & trouble-shooting of a Genesis or Maxim network. It displays real-time information about data on the Global Points network.
Softport - Allows a user to access the Human Machine Interface (HMI) of a Genesis or Maxim device from a PC connected to the controller network. It can be used to search for controllers present on the network, then log onto any one of the available devices.
Supervisor - A dynamic monitoring utility for Innotech controllers. It provides all the functionality that is available from an Innotech controller display panel with greater ease-of-use and flexibility.

Remote Expansion REMs (REMS)
REMs provide an array of points which can be connected to a sub system network up to 500 metres in length. Fifteen random REMs can be added, with one exception. The MP REM can only be addressed between 1 and 8 only; therefore only 8 MP REMs can be used.
