This conference is an important date on the annual training calendar as it allows Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) an opportunity to meet and discuss important information and direction with regards to national training packages and future improvements to the training system and delivery.
The conference was also attended by AIRAH (Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating) CEO Tony Gleeson, who was able to provide direct feedback from the HVAC&R industry along with any updates to industry direction changes and legislative requirements.

Innotech's success is built on a platform of service and training, and over the last 5 years we have worked with RTOs globally to provide an updated, and relevant HVAC and BEMS (Building & Energy Management Systems) Controls course. This is something we provide FREE to RTOs so they have the tools to upskill the next generation of Apprentices, Tradesmen, Contractors, Consultants and Educators with regards to HVAC and BEMS.
Hosting the national event was also an affordable way for the RTOs to understand the course, and even attend the train the trainer sessions with the Innotech Systems Trainer, Walter Colaiaco. The participants are provided all theory, assessment and practical components, and using real BEMS hardware and software. This industry controls course is being delivered at many institutes nationally and internationally and has seen great success in the UK, North America and at home here in Australia.
To conclude the conference we provided the attendees with a no holds barred insight into the Mass Electronic/Innotech HQ Manufacturing, Research and Development, Sales/Engineering and Store, in addition to our own mechanical plant and BEMS running the factory. We had some fantastic feedback from the attendees as many didn’t realise that everything was done under the one roof from start to finish, and that we also undertake development for other Australian businesses too.
We would like to congratulate Paul Wright and Steve Smith (the Organisers) on organising such a successful event, and thank them for the opportunity to host it, and also to deliver the HVAC & BEMS Controls Course to the attendees. The general consensus was that the conference and training went very well and it provided a successful result for all involved. We look forward to offering our support and assistance to RACTA in the future. It is very heartening to see so many passionate people discussing the future of Australia’s learning development and forming new industry partnerships.
