Visiting DDCS in South Africa - What a Trip!

I am pleased to say that I had a very successful and enjoyable trip to South Africa to visit with our Distributor Direct Digital Control Services (DDCS).

FrigAir 2015 Trade Show

The Frigair Trade Show in Johannesburg was exceptional, with 4000 visitors in 3 days, well up on the previous show 3 years ago. The quality of those attending was fantastic and DDCS have many leads to follow up, especially for clients unhappy with their existing BEMS and wanting a retrofit that will give them back control of THEIR system!

New HVAC and BMS Controls Training Partner

We also signed a new training institute: ACRA (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Academy) in Johannesburg. We look forward to visiting soon to run our "Train the Trainers" program and to get the global HVAC and BMS Controls Course running in South Africa. There is much excitement from the institute and our partners at DDCS for this and another potential institute in another region of SA also.

Cape Town

Ian Wilson (DDCS Director) and I had a great visit to Cape Town (my first time). We held a conference with some local consultants and clients (which was extremely beneficial) and I believe we will have more work in the region after showing the benefits an Innotech solution has for a client. They also loved the term, "Use us because you want to....not because you have to", which is a key philosophy and reason for Innotech's global successes.

Summary

Overall it was a great trip and I enjoyed the many visits with clients and consultants and learning the differences in their market. As always I was well taken care of by the DDCS team and I have brought back much feedback and ideas, that will help ensure our R&D development meets the specific needs of the South African market. Thanks to all who attended and contributed to all the events.
